Transform the Story You’ve Been Living
Narrative Therapy helps you examine the stories you’ve carried—about yourself, your relationships, and your past—and begin to write new ones. Through guided conversations and reflection, you’ll separate identity from problem, uncover strengths, and shape a future that aligns with your true voice and values.

What the Program Is
Narrative Therapy invites participants to re-author the stories they tell about themselves. This group provides a guided process for exploring identity, challenges, and values through writing, discussion, and reflection—helping you shift from being “the problem” to being the author of your future.
Through story work, you’ll begin to externalize pain, reclaim your strengths, and find clarity in your journey.
Is This Program Right for You?
This group might be a good fit if you:
- Feel stuck in a story of failure, trauma, or limitation
- Struggle to see yourself outside of a diagnosis or past event
- Want to reconnect with personal values and preferred identities
- Find clarity through writing, storytelling, or journaling
- Are seeking healing without re-traumatization or forced disclosure
What to Expect
Each week features a different theme related to personal story—identity, relationships, challenges, resilience, or growth. Sessions include guided writing prompts, sharing opportunities (optional), and discussion on how dominant narratives shape our lives.
You don’t need to be a “writer” to join. All you need is curiosity and the willingness to see your story in a new light.

How This Program Helps
Narrative therapy gives you the space to explore your identity outside of pain, trauma, or mistakes. It fosters healing by helping you recognize that your story is still unfolding—and you have the power to shape it.
Participants often leave with increased confidence, emotional distance from past wounds, and a stronger sense of purpose and meaning.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a strong writer to benefit?
Not at all. This program is about discovery and self-expression, not grammar or writing skill.
Will I have to read my writing out loud?
Sharing is completely optional. Many find value in listening as much as speaking.
Is this group trauma-focused?
While we explore stories of adversity, the focus is on empowerment and preferred narratives—not reprocessing trauma in detail.
Can this group support co-occurring concerns?
Yes. It pairs well with individual therapy and other groups, especially for those managing anxiety, depression, or recovery.
